Talks with Professionals
Karen Freberg in her book often gives us some information about professionals in Social Media. They talk about their experience, share some advice and suggest some tips on how to improve Social Media. I may say these small interviews are my favorite part of the book. I like to know how professionals gain success in this area, I understand the people who work there who produce the content, what they think about Media itself.
One of the best questions that Freberg asks is “What do you wish you had known when you were starting out?”. I love it because I am starting right now and I know so little about how Social Media works and I need some advice from professionals who study Media for several years. It is also interesting to know the history of Social Media and when the author asks how people started their Social Media experience they talk about the past. Social Media several years ago is not the same as now and that’s amazing. It is never the same.
Studying Social Media is much easier when you may read the opinions and stories of people who work in this area for several years.
