American Diversity
My first thanksgiving holidays I spent traveling. Florida is one of the best places in the USA and Miami looks like paradise. When I saw the first palm in a taxi window I thought I wish I could stay there for the rest of the year. Later, I understood that Miami is not only expensive cars, rich people, palms and white sand on the beaches, but it’s also a big city with skyscrapers, with beggars on the streets and horrible public transport (I wonder will I ever find any good public transport in America?). Orlando is not only amazing Disneyland and Universal that carry out a fairy tale but also a lot of beggars during night time and the smell of weed even in the World of Harry Potter.
Anyway, I love the fact that America is so different. A lot of people ask me: “What place do I like most in the US?” And I do not know what to say. How can I compare Chicago and Niagara Falls, Miami and Washington, Ada and Detroit? They are all different and they all have advantages and disadvantages. That’s what makes America so unique.
