Division of Content by Karen Freberg
Karen Freberg says in his book “Social Media For Strategic Communication” that we are better to balance between our personal and brand voices. So she suggests to divide the content into four equal areas: personal story, sharing interesting content, communication with the audience, production of values. I can’t say it works every time with every blogger that I follow. Sometimes I just do not want them to share their personal stories as I am interested in the content they produce, I need their professional opinion about the theme. The same thing is with engagement (answering questions, take fan meeting, etc.) But I know that some bloggers just use hype about their life falling into scandals on purpose. So, communication with their followers or haters is the main part of the content. That’s why I am sure Freberg’s advice is useful but it always depends on the bloggers and their audience.
